Contest Comic Invasion Berlin #7
Topic: Berlin Beat

The Comic Invasion Berlin is a big festival dedicated to comics, graphic novels and illustrations. The organisators present the CIB as a platform for the local Berlin scene, a festival of comic interested for comic enthusiasts. It had been growing the past years untill to be hosted at the Museum für Kommunikation.
My work was selected with other comic stories and exhibited at Museum für Kommunikation within the ‘Oh Yeah! Popmusik in Deutschland’ exhibition, furthermore my story was published in the festival booklet.

What’s the rhythm of Berlin for you? Which musical experiences and musicians do you associate with the city – do you maybe think like Reinhard Kleist about Berlin-lover Nick Cave, or the man with the keyboard at the subway station? Or pop icons like Iggy Pop and David Bowie, who stayed in the capital in the 70s and recorded some of their greatest hits? Think of the clacking of spray cans, the rattling of the subway trains? What’s the city’s heartbeat in your mind? How did music influence Berlin in your eyes?
